A wonderful coming together of styles
Why see Alabama Symphony Orchestra - Mariachi Cobre - Musica Mariachi?
The Music Of Mexico
Alabama Symphony Orchestra welcomes one of America's best loved mariachi groups, Mariachi Cobre, bringing a musical style that has long been hailed as 'the sound of Mexico' to the BJCC Concert Hall! Having performed with around 50 orchestras across both the US and Mexico, Mariachi Cobre are no stranger to these surroundings and bring true flair to the ASO this April.
Long hailed as 'the sound of Mexico', Mariachi is a corner stone of the country's musical heritage. Originating hundreds of years ago from the state of Jalisco near Guadalajara, as well as the surrounding states of Western Mexico, it is truly the music of the people, celebrating their joys, struggles and triumphs. Mariachi Cobre are one of the groups at the forefront of keeping the sound alive this century and are well worth seeing live.
